1. Your Page role changed
Schedulers publish to Pages with the permissions of the connected person. If a client removes you as an admin, downgrades your role, or transfers the Page, publishing stops even though the connection looks alive. Fix: check your role on the Page directly, restore it, reconnect.
2. The token expired or was revoked
Password changes, security reviews and Meta's periodic permission re prompts all invalidate tokens. Fix: reconnect the Facebook account in your scheduler and re grant every permission it asks for. Skipping a permission checkbox during reconnection is a classic cause of half working connections that publish text but fail on video.
3. The video broke a spec
Meta rejects files outside its accepted specs at publish time. Reels over the length limit, files over the size guidance and exotic codecs are the usual offenders. The current Facebook spec sheet is linked below; re export and retry.
4. API rules and rate limits
Meta limits publishing volume per Page and applies content rules at the API layer. A large backlog scheduled into a short window can trip limits. Space the queue. If a specific post is rejected repeatedly while others succeed, the content itself is being refused; adjust and retry.
5. The outage case
When every Page fails at once, it is Meta, not you. Automatic retry turns an outage into a late post instead of a lost one.
Failures you hear about instantly
Every cause on this page is fixable in minutes; the expensive part is not knowing. SocialPro verifies the Page connection and checks every file against the current specs before the scheduled time, confirms delivery with Meta after publishing, and alerts you instantly in plain English with a one tap retry when anything fails. The client never gets to be the one who tells you.
